Endogenous factors - Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis of the palms and soles may be associated with mental stress or triggered by the use of occlusive gloves, but in many cases the reasons for sweating are not elucidated, and an “idiopathic” hyperhidrosis is assumed. Hyperhidrosis is often found in patients with dyshidrotic eczema, although it is not believed to be an etiologic factor. Sweating on the palms may also facilitate the development of allergic contact dermatitis by leaching out sensitising substances from solid tools or items individuals come into contact with.
