Nummular eczema
As nummular eczema may overlap with atopic dermatitis, asteatotic eczema and stasis dermatitis, the underlying causes need to be clarified. Nummular eczema or nummular (discoid) dermatitis can be treated with
- medium- to high-potency topical corticosteroid ointments
- topical immunomodulators
- tar preparations
- emollients.
Some patients require additional phototherapy depending on the individual skin condition.
